The obvious thing to do with Beach Day would have been to take them to the beach. I wanted to poke a bit of fun at that and decided to create my own low-fi beach set. It took some effort, but I like the way it turned out.

I didn’t have time to light this the way I wanted between the threat of rain and the soccer game starting around us. I really wanted to add some depth with rim lights. But I did what I could with 15 minutes.

I try not to go back and rework my images too much after the fact, but I can’t help it sometimes. I’m really digging warmer colors.
It’s been a great weekend for pictures. Shot this on spec, hopefully the gig works out.

“Shades of Misery”, or, “The Life of a Stand-in”. Quick test of my new DIY Ring Flash. My little brother only agrees to help me after I promise not to put the pictures up anywhere. I’m pretty sure he’s going to murder me in my sleep one of these days.
